I truly enjoyed this project because it allowed me to create a unique art piece with the use of various colors. In addition, I am able to compare this new piece with the original and observe a great piece of artwork that can be formed with a little bit of creativity and a lot of effort. The hardest part of this project was the cutting out the different stencils. This took the greatest amount of time and involved a steady hand with a lot of patience. This project involved many steps and took an ample amount of time. I believe that the final product turned out exquisite and creative. Both, the original and new piece are similar in shapes and patterns, but different in appearance. The new piece obtains various colors and a contrasting texture. The brightness is very prominent, allowing this creative work to catch the eye of any observer. While creating this project, I learned the basics of spray painting, which I then used to create a magnificent piece of art that reflected well, compared to the original. I believe I used the tactics of spray painting, in addition to my creativity, to form a great final product.

Contour Line Shoe Drawing

This drawing of my Wallabee is for the contour line unit.  In the beginning of this unit, I was very hesitant and insecure about my drawings.  This was definitely one of the harder units for me because I am very used to picking up my pencil and moving my hand frequently.  I steadily grew in this type of art because I became used to the idea of a fluent line without any sketchy imprints.  One major aspect of this unit is to move your hand with the speed of your eye while capturing the details of your drawing.  In this specific piece, I drew the outline of the show as it is actually portrayed.  On the other hand, I did not greatly incorporate a few details.  For example, the laces of my shoe are not detailed enough and are basically floppy lines that do not accurately represent the entity of this shoe.  I believe that I have greatly improved as this unit progressed, but unfortunately, this is not of my stronger units.

Layers Pro App - Value Study

There are many differences between using oil pastels and the Layers Pro App on the Ipad.  For starters, the Layers Pro App allows a greater variety of results through the process of this value study.  There are a wide range of blending opportunities and the colors are more vibrant based on preference.  Differing, the oil pastels are much messier and do not provide a large range of options through this method.  Although there are many differences, there are also many similarities between the oil pastels and the Layers Pro App.  Both applications allow you to use your originality and effort to form a great piece of artwork.  For example, creativity can produce any layout on both systems.  In addition, each network produces two products with chosen shapes, colors, and imagination.  Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed this value study assignment.  Although I was unable to finish on the Ipad, I believe my product represents a realistic view of value. Technology allows artists to exhibit their creativity and develop different forms of beautiful art.

Cartoon Skeleton

My cartoon character is Jerry from the TV show "Tom and Jerry."  I have properly displayed a full set of bones including necessary primary bones.  In addition, I have used my imagination to create this skeleton contained in Jerry.  Jerry is a small character that has posed in a slightly awkward position.  I had to get creative when I realized the right side of Jerry's body must obtain a larger view of bones because of his unequal positioning.  For example, I drew a slightly uneven rib cage and an irregular pelvis that appears to be more prominent.  Regarding the skull, I created both eye sockets and drew a separate jaw bone.  Also,  I drew normal arm and leg bones that contained fingers and toes.  Overall, I believe my skeleton is symmetrical towards Jerry's body and I feel my imagination and creativity has allowed me to portray a skillful skeleton.
